pinned to their coats or hats go on sale December 1st at over
70 outlets, including Harris Teeter stores in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel
Hill area.
Late Afternoon: The Children's Celebration
7pm - Early Acorn Drop (a count down to the New Year at 7pm so that
families with younger children can enjoy watching the Acorn drop without
waiting until midnight.) Evening Performances begin featuring 100 performances in 25
downtown Raleigh venues
10:30 pm: Main Stage entertainment begins.

moons of Jupiter and Saturn, asteroids and comets. Learn about the
beautiful, strange, mysterious and puzzling worlds this research has
revealed when keynote speaker Dr. James Green, Director of NASA's Planetary
Science, presents ?50 Years of Solar System Exploration: New Worlds, New
Discoveries? at this year's Astronomy Days. Held at the North Carolina
Museum of Natural Sciences on Saturday (9am-5pm) and Sunday (noon-5pm),
January 26-27, this event gives new as well as seasoned astronomy-buffs a
