See regiments of British soldiers, Loyalist troops and camp followers as they set up camp on the grounds of the Alexander Dickson House/Orange County Visitors Center. British and Continental re-enactors will demonstrate camp life during the Revolutionary War. This year's event commemorates the 225th anniversary of General Cornwallis' encampment in Hillsborough in February 1781. Events include marching drills, musket-firing demonstrations, open-flame cooking, and guided tours of Hillsborough's colonial and Revolutionary sites. (TOURS $ ticket per person). Wonderful, fun event featuring colorful and whimsical artwork from some of the Southeast's most renowned folk artists, live music, food, drinks and an art-car exhibition. Over 30 of the Southeast's most renowned artists will exhibit and sell their work at the Barn at Fearrington. Artists include Sam the Dot Man, Clyde Jones, Mama Girl and Danny Doughty. Tickets $ at the door (In past years, children 12 and under have been Free -- call Fearrington for more info).
