CHAPEL HILL Area Neighborhoods
Favorite Neighborhoods for Families/Kids

Winmore, Carrboro / Chapel Hill, NC Neighborhood

Location: Winmore is located off Homestead Rd., 10 minutes to downtown Chapel Hill, and 6 - 7 minutes drive to I-40 leading to Durham, RTP and Raleigh.

Winmore is a green-built, mixed-use village featuring classic, upscale architecture and a central village green with businesses where business owners can live above their shops. The Winmore neighborhood has 96 single family and 86 town homes ranging from the upper $200,000's through the $900,000's. The smaller town homes in Winmore (up to 1,350 sq.ft.) start in the $250,000 range.

The Winmore homes are beautiful and the feeling of the neighborhood is peaceful, woodsy, wonderful for hikes, bike riding, and neighborly chats, with children riding bikes and playing kickball on the village green. Although the homes are brand new and built with all of the finest amenities, many of the home styles architecturally remind us of historic old homes, with elegant details, front porches, pretty gardens. Some of the homes have an Arts & Crafts / Craftsman style. All are quite beautiful.
